This project was my second DIY furniture project. It is a scandinavian coffee table made of palette wood planks. The palettes used were Europe Palettes that you can find at any warehouse, shop etc in Europe.
I tried to build something a little more complex than my previous palette furniture project (the Scandinavian palette desk). To do it you would need:
The dimensions of the wood part of the table are 98 x 70 x 18 cm. The realization is more complex than the desk but stil very straight forward. I draw the blueprint of this project with my girlfriend from inspirations we saw on the web:
Disassemble the palettes and sand the planks (with x40 then x80 sands). All the planks have a 2cm thickness. Each palette should give you:
The assembly process is similar to the desk, I won't detail it here (feel free to contact me if you have any questions about it, or if you need tips). Like mentionned above, I advise using wooden dowel pins at least for assembling the bottom of the table. I also advise at least 4 layers of varnish on the outside of the table (especially the top), as a coffee table usage makes it more vulnerable. To complete this projects, you'll need the following list of planks:
Once assembled, the table will look like this:
Feel free to download the 3D files that I made as blueprint for this project.
It shows how the different planks are composing the final table, just like in the following 3d views:
